SAND CANYON VOLUNTEER COUNCIL, INC.

a California Public Benefit Corporation

The Sand Canyon Volunteer Council was established in 2015 by a group of Sand Canyon residents who were interested in helping make it a more cohesive community and to promote and develop community services through volunteerism, organization and information for the local residents and property owners.  More specifically, these efforts to support and improve the well-being of the community may include social events and activities; fund raising; emergency preparedness; fire prevention; and government liaison and interaction.  Additionally, the organization is committed to supporting local disaster preparedness activities, such as the Sand Canyon Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The organization is open to everyone and anyone who would be interested in helping develop the community for the enjoyment and betterment of all.  There are no membership requirements or dues.  SCVC was formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable corporation, and as such, is required to have a board of directors, officers and by-laws.  If you are interested in becoming a director or officer, please contact us.  We would welcome continuing community support, ideas, and volunteers.  However, you don’t need to be a director of officer to participate.  You can suggest one or many ideas and help to bring them about!

The current Directors, Officers, and By-laws are posted on this website.

Scheduled meetings and activities are posted on the CALENDAR.
